AI Agents and Wearables

Computers are becoming smaller and more integrated with the body. As they become more integrated, one challenge is how to create intuitive, non-disruptive wearable systems that integrate naturally with the user's cognitive and perceptual faculties to improve their cognitive capabilities. In my work, I approach this by utilizing findings from cognitive neuroscience and computational social science to inform my design of wearable systems combined with state-of-the art artificial intelligence methods like LLMs, and neural interfacing methods like tACS stimulation.

Projects

Wearable Reasoner:
Towards Enhanced Human Rationality

A wearable system capable of analyzing if an argument is stated with supporting reasons or not to prompt people to question and reflect on the justifications of their own beliefs and the arguments of others.   Read more.

Role:
Initiator and concept-creator, developer of machine learning model, conductor of experimental study, lead on write-up.

BoardDesignerGPT: An AI Agent for Electronics Design

A conversational AI agent tool that allows anyone to make electronic systems. Given a list of components that the user has access to, the system accesses information about each component, helps them figure out which PINs to connect, and write the code and uploads it to the board. The user only has to say what they want.

MindMapper:
A Wearable AI System That Learns About A User To Mitigate Their Biases

A wearable system that uses an LLM-based AI agent over time to learn about a users behaviors and in real-time alert them when they might be vulnerable from their personal biases.

Be My Guest: A Dinner Event Hosted by Artificial Intelligence

An artistic performance exploring the socio-cultural implications of living with generative AI systems. Everything in Be My Guest! from the unique tableware and food to the virtual reality spaces are created using generative AI models, with the host of the dinner event also being a generative modelThe performance was planned and designed in conversations with a custom-built AI agent that can generate 3D objects and images that were used for conceptualization and printing the tableware.
